ATTIRE

Dress to impress! In this section, we'll provide you with guidelines on what to wear to our wedding, so you can be sure to look your best.

Suggested attire for our wedding reception is Semi-FormalPlease come dressed as appropriately as you can, but attire for the wedding is not enforced or required.

Semi-Formal guidelines for men:
Dress shoes (such as loafers or Oxfords), dark socks, dress pants, and a button-down dress shirt. A dark suit is always a good option. If you choose to wear a suit, a tie or bowtie is optional. A blazer or sports coat is suitable too. When it comes to accessories, skip the pocket square and cufflinks in favor of minimal accessories, such as a watch. Avoid casual dress articles such as t-shirts, polo shirts, khakis, and tennis shoes.

Semi-Formal guidelines for women:
Midi dresses, maxi-dresses, wrap dresses, cocktail dresses, pantsuits, and jumpsuits. If you choose to wear a dress, your hemline can fall below the knee. Avoid floor-length gowns and ball gowns. Heels, sandals, flats, and dress shoes are appropriate. Feel free to wear whatever accessories or jewelry you'd like, but err on the side of minimalism.

REGISTRY & GIFTS

We're so grateful for your love and support! In this section, you'll find information about our registry and any money gift options we've chosen.

Registry

We are registered with Walmart through Walmart.com. The wedding gifts we would benefit from the most are on this registry, so we encourage you to look at what we've chosen and get us a gift from here. Prices on Walmart.com tend to be better than in-store prices, but feel free to shop either in-store or online. If you shop at the store, please print our registry's barcodes, follow the instructions on the sheet, and bring the gifts to either the Bridal Shower or the Reception. If you shop online, Walmart will mail us any gifts you select.

Monetary Gifts

Should you choose to provide us with money as a gift instead, we would prefer you send the money digitally. The following links will connect you to Luke's PayPal account or Brandee's Venmo account for convenience and security. Please be sure to select "For friends and family" when using this option.

Other Gift Options

The two methods above are our preferred gift options. However, if you are unable to utilize them, you are still welcome to bring physical gifts, gift cards, and monetary gifts to our wedding reception. Please deliver gift cards and money in sealed envelopes for convenience and privacy. We will have a designated area for leaving gifts of all types.

OUR STORY

It all started with a spark! In this section, we'll share our love story with you, so you can get to know us better and understand why this day is so special to us.

Brandee and Luke's love story began in the Roy YSA Ward, a church congregation for young, single adult members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was here that they first laid eyes on each other. They had noticed each other in passing, but neither of them took the initiative to make a move. However, they were destined to come together in a unique way. Brandee's best friend, Shani, was very observant and had seen the potential in Luke. She knew that Brandee needed someone special in her life, and so she began plotting ways to bring them together.

Their paths crossed unexpectedly at a Stake YSA activity, where they ran into each other. Luke had been aimlessly wandering around, trying to find people he knew, when Brandee appeared like an angel in the crowd. They spent the night together with a few other friends, laughing, playing mini-golf, racing go-karts, and having a wonderful time. It was a perfect evening, but neither of them asked the other out. Several days went by, and Luke sent Brandee a text to thank her for reaching out to him and keeping him company that night. Brandee replied, thanking him too and telling him how much she enjoyed having someone familiar to chat with.

Thankfully, Shani never forgot about her best friend's feelings and eventually decided to push Brandee in the right direction. One night her and Brandee were talking about people they knew from church, and Luke’s name came up. After some discussion, and with her permission, she took Brandee's phone and drafted a text message to Luke, while telling Brandee, "You're asking him out." And, that's exactly what happened!

Their first date was magical. Luke accepted Brandee's invitation to see a movie, and they went to see Thor: Love and Thunder. Throughout the movie, they laughed and joked, and afterward, they talked as they walked each other to their cars. Before they parted that night, Brandee boldly asked him three important questions, which led to their official start as a couple:

"So, are you dating anyone right now?"

"Well, no."

"Ah. Well, would you like to be dating anyone?"

"Yeah, that would be nice. I'd love to be dating someone."

"Oh, okay. Well... would you like to date me?"

"I mean... Yeah! I would! That would be great!"

From that point on, they spent every moment they could together. They went on romantic walks, binge-watched TV shows, cooked dinners together, and took day trips. They were always together, and their love for each other grew stronger by the day.

As time went on, they became more comfortable with each other and started introducing each other to their families. Brandee's family welcomed Luke with open arms, and Luke's family was thrilled to meet Brandee. They both knew that they had found someone special, and they wanted to share that with the people they loved.

They soon knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, and on February 16th, 2023, Luke proposed to Brandee at the Ogden Utah Temple, with a ring he had designed and crafted himself. The ring was stunning, and it fit Brandee's personality perfectly. She said yes, and they have been preparing for their wedding ever since.

Now, they're preparing for their wedding day, excited to start the next chapter of their lives together. They know that they will face challenges and obstacles, but they're ready to face them together. Their love story is one of patience, perseverance, and passion, and it's a testament to the power of true love. Throughout their relationship, Luke and Brandee have continued to strengthen their bond, communicate effectively, and grow in love. They are each other's forever, so very much!
